Spam Allstars News!

The Spam Allstars continue to play their monthly residencies in NY, Gainesville, Ft. Lauderdale – while taking a month off from Atlanta and Tampa. The band will also be heading west in the next month. They start by playing Denver at the Paramount Theater tonight (10/22) as guests of the Rippingtons and House of Blues Concerts. They will also be in California in November with shows in Arcata at Mazotti’s (11/11), the San Francisco Funk Fest at Elbo Room (11/12), an Ameoba in-store performance in the Hollywood store (11/13), and later that night at Temple Bar in Santa Monica (11/13).

The Spam Allstars were thrilled to license Descaraga Gusano 2004 to the Miami Heat for use as one of the intros for the Heats’ All-Star line up. This is a newly recorded version of the Descarga Gusano which was featured on Spam Allstars’ Latin Grammy nominated release Fuacata! Live (Spamusica Records). The band makes a cameo appearance in the players’ video which will be viewed during the opening of Miami Heat home games throughout the 2004-2005 basketball season.
