Off-Broadway Star Releases New Gospel CD

Terry Myrick releases a gospel debut album, "I Bowed To The Father."

(PRWEB) October 9, 2005 -- Terry Myrick’s latest project is his record label, Sweet Melody Records, through which he recently released his debut album, ‘I Bowed To The Father.’ “God has truly blessed this CD to come into existence,” say Myrick. “I am overwhelmed with excitement because I am filled with felicity to know that that God has truly allowed me the opportunity to write, compose, and minister His word.”

Terry goes on to say that completing the project and recognizing the impact it has already hand on people’s lives has been the highlight of his career thus far.. When ask to describe the feel of the album, Terry responds, “I consider sound to be a contemporary urban gospel sound with a touch of traditional flavor and hip-hop spices.” He adds that what sets him apart from other artists is his unique vocal range. What makes his music so special is the heartfelt lyrical content, and relevant compositions that give each song an essence of profound spiritual connectivity.

Terry is not a stranger to musical success. He got his big break when he appeared Off-Broadway in the musical, ‘Mama I Want To Sing.’ He went on to a starring role in ‘A Vision’ and landed another role in ‘Captain,’ all Off-Broadway musicals. His remarkable vocal prowess has earned him awards in the New York City area music scene. Terry states that his greatest reward is his seventeen years as a music teacher, where he can influence the lives of many young people who have talent and promise.

As for the future, Terry plans to spend much of his time promoting the new album and possibly touring as much as he can. He looks to also take on new writing and producing for other artists on his record label. His goals and aspirations “are to touch the hearts, minds and souls of everyone who listens to my music, in hope that they will know the continuous love and goodness of God.
