D'Angelo got Naked for Voodoo, now after Hummer Crash can we expect more of the same?
D'Angelo who once sang naked for his curiously titled song and video, Untitled (How Does It Feel), said he is ready to continue working on his upcoming album after a car crash left him hospitalized for two days. After capturing two Grammy Awards in 2001, one for best male R&B vocal performance for "Untitled (How Does It Feel)," and the second for his album "Voodoo", D'Angelo had largely faded from the public eye with the exception of several relatively minor drug and alcohol arrests.
D'Angelo, 31, born Michael Eugene Archer, was a passenger in a 2003 Hummer on Sept. 19 when it crossed the roadway and struck a fence ejecting the R&B singer from the vehicle. He was not wearing a seat restraint when the accident occured.
Originally listed in critical condition, D'Angelo suffered only bruises from the crash. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
