PINK - There You Go Again!

PINK returns with her sophomore release titled M!ssundaztood (release date nov. 20). This will be an important release for P!NK, missundaztood will reveal the true level of promise from this young and talented artist.

PINK's debut album Can't Take Me Home was certified Multi Platinum on 12/18/00 and her freshman release is still selling very well. The single Get The Party Started (from missundaztood) is climbing very fast on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, jumping to the #35 spot after first being listed only three weeks ago.

You Make Me Sick from There U Go is still getting a great deal of radio play while Pink's role in the powerhouse pop/hip hop quartet of Christina, Mya, Lil' Kim and Pink won two awards at the 18th annual MTV Video Music Awards.

All this is a lot for a rebellious young woman with a shock of pink hair, sharply focused blue eyes and an abundance of self-confidence. None of it should come as a surprise considering Pink has made music her life.

Beginning with strong musical influences from her father who played guitar and taught Pink songs by Dylan and McLean, and Pink's own foray into the Philly dance and hip hop scene at the age of thirteen. Pink! was born.

Pink - Missundaztood

Pink, there you go again! Missundaztood? Maybe, somehwere at the beginning Pink was taken for an R&B artist, Pink's debut album Can't Take Me Home did little to discourage that belief. Pink then teams up with R&B/Pop artists Mya, Lil Kim and Christina, for the new pop version of the classic Lady Marmalade. In the video that followed, Pink definately looked like Pop/R&B was her musical genre of choice.

Missundaztood is a new direction for Pink as she moves from pop/r&b to a much harder and gritty alternative rock sound. A move like this could spell disaster for an artist who has already been branded and accepted into another musical genre. Dallas Austin and former 4 Non Blonde Linda Perry have aided Pink in the transition.

Alternative rock, alternative blues, call it what you will, Misundaztood from Pink is a gutsy, heartfelt release that begs to be heard. Don't miss out on Missundaztood!
