zebrahead is one of the hottest new alternative bands to ever recieve a Grammy nomination in the "Best Metal Performance" category. Its true! Though not a metal band, zebrahead has the veraitility that sometimes make a band tough to categorize. Playmate of the Year, released August 22, 2000, on Columbia Records is their sophomore CD following their 1998 release, Waste of Mind.

Playmate of the Year is rock-pop with hip-hop flavor. The 13 tracks never let you rest, building and maintaining a high energy fury that is impossible to ignore. While previewing the CD I was constantly stopped and asked by anyone in listening distance. "Who IS that?" followed by "where can I get it?"
